1. Your client updates the torrent’s trackers about every 30 minutes. Updating 5000 trackers will take way too long and more than likely slow your download to a crawl.
2. Keeping a list with thousands of trackers updated is a big and time consuming job. More than we are willing to handle with such a big negative as explained in number 1.
